Position Summary
We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Officer to enhance our data collection and impact assessment efforts across various programs.
The ideal candidate will be instrumental in tracking outcomes for farmers, ensuring data integrity, producing insightful reports, and fostering data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee monitoring and reporting frameworks for programs.
- Gather, validate, and analyze data from the field.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments at baseline, midline, and endline.
- Monitor farmer engagement, productivity, and income levels.
- Compile and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
- Assist in donor reporting and impact evaluation.
- Train field personnel on data collection methodologies.
- Perform data quality assessments and field visits for verification.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Monitoring and Evaluation, Statistics, Economics, Agriculture, Development Studies, Data Science, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation, research, or impact assessment.
- Familiarity with tools such as KoboToolbox, ODK, SurveyCTO, CommCare, or equivalent.
- Proficient in Excel and data analysis techniques.
- Strong written communication skills and report generation capabilities.
